2005 JMML International Symposium

Atlanta, GA, 09 December 2005, 0800-1630

The full details of the symposium are available for download here.

To establish an international scientific forum, driven simply by a focus on the JMML disease and not by country or institutional goals, that combines clinical, basic, and translational research in order to improve survivability among JMML patients.

The first JMML International Symposium, held in Atlanta, Georgia, USA in December 2005, was a long-term planning meeting among doctors to decide how future meetings will best function in terms of topics covered, participants, locations, etc., and to avoid overlap with other organizations’ goals.

The agenda included major topics related to JMML that one speaker will overview in 5-10 viewgraph slides. These topics will serve to aid discussion as to where international cooperation can focus, what future meeting presentations should be sought, and in general, “how do we take the mission statement into reality?”
